Multiple Intelligence Assessment for Class 5, 6 & 7 – MyLaunchpad
Class 5, 6 & 7 Β· Multiple Intelligence

Every child is brilliant.
Just not in the same way.

Howard Gardner's theory of Multiple Intelligences changed how we understand human potential. Our assessment applies it to your child β€” identifying where their natural genius lies, years before any high-stakes decisions are made.

πŸ’‘

Why Class 5–7 is the ideal window. At this age, children are still forming their identity and have no performance pressure attached to discovery. Understanding their intelligence profile now gives families years to nurture strengths β€” not years of chasing the wrong ones.

No pressure. No wrong answers.
This assessment is about discovery, not performance.

Most parents wait until Class 10.
The smart ones start now.

The Indian education system evaluates children almost entirely on academic performance β€” marks in Maths, Science, and English. But a child's true intelligence profile is far wider than that. A child who struggles with equations may have extraordinary interpersonal intelligence. A child labelled "average" may have exceptional spatial or kinesthetic ability.

When parents understand their child's actual intelligence profile in Class 5 or 6, they have years to nurture the right strengths β€” choosing extracurriculars, hobbies, and learning environments that align with who the child actually is. They stop trying to fix weaknesses and start building on real strengths.

By Class 10, the window to influence these choices has largely closed. The earlier you know, the more you can do with that knowledge.

Questions every parent asks
before taking this step

We understand the hesitation. Here are the most common questions parents bring to us.

Isn't Class 5 too early for career talk?
This assessment isn't about career pressure β€” it's about understanding your child's natural intelligence so you can support them better right now. The career direction is a gentle signal, not a prescription. The immediate value is in learning how your child learns, what activities will engage them, and where they'll thrive.
What if the results don't match what I expect?
That's actually the most valuable outcome. Many parents discover their child has a strong intelligence type they hadn't noticed because the school system doesn't measure it. The counselling session helps families understand what the results mean and how to use them constructively β€” not to redirect the child, but to broaden how you see them.
Can my child take this without pressure or coaching?
Yes β€” and this is important. The assessment uses age-appropriate questions with no right or wrong answers. We recommend that children take it independently, answering naturally. Coaching or hinting undermines the accuracy of results and ultimately the value of the report.
Will this tell my child what career they must pursue?
No. The report opens possibilities, it doesn't close them. It shows families a range of career families that align with the child's natural strengths β€” presented as a starting point for exploration, not a verdict. Children change; this report is a snapshot that informs the journey, not a fixed destination.

Questions about the
Class 5–7 assessment

Is there a right or wrong way to answer the questions?+
No. The assessment has no right or wrong answers β€” it is not a test of knowledge or performance. Children should answer based on what they genuinely enjoy or feel, not what they think parents or teachers want to hear. The more honest the answers, the more accurate and useful the report.
Should parents sit with the child during the assessment?+
We recommend children complete it independently with minimal guidance β€” parental involvement can inadvertently influence answers. Parents can explain what the assessment is about beforehand and be available for any technical questions, but should let the child answer on their own.
What age within Class 5–7 is best?+
Class 6 or 7 tends to give the most reliable results, as children at that age have enough self-awareness to answer reflectively. Class 5 children can also take it β€” the questions are designed for 10+ year olds. The earlier within this window, the more time families have to act on the findings.
Does a high logical-mathematical score mean my child should take Science?+
Not necessarily. Logical-mathematical intelligence is one of 8 types, and stream selection depends on many factors including interests, motivators, and learning style. The assessment gives an early stream direction signal, but the Class 8–10 assessment is the right time for a definitive stream recommendation.
How is this different from a school aptitude test?+
School aptitude tests measure academic performance in specific subjects. This assessment measures natural intelligence types β€” independent of academic performance. A child who struggles with school Maths may still have high logical-mathematical intelligence, which manifests differently than exam scores suggest.
Can we retake the assessment later?+
The Class 5–7 assessment gives a snapshot at this stage of development. As children grow, their intelligence profile can evolve β€” we recommend the Class 8–10 assessment when stream selection becomes relevant. That assessment uses the same platform but is built for the specific decisions students face at that stage.
