According to UNICEF, career counselling or career guidance is a holistic, right-based development strategy that helps people choose and carry out wise educational and professional decisions that ultimately contribute to their social, financial, and emotional well-being.

Why Career Counselling?

With the help of career guidance, adolescent students can successfully transition from school to higher education and then to the workforce. Examining various job options requires knowledge of the many professional trajectories, prospects, earning potential, and time commitment. Knowing one’s abilities and interests is also important, as is matching one’s potential with possible vocations. Next, one must choose the appropriate courses and colleges, go through the application process, and then figure out how to pay for their education.

How does the process work?

Students need counselling services to navigate their career paths and these are provided by qualified professionals with a lot of experience in this field. They provide awareness about various career paths, use the psychometric assessment to provide an objective evaluation of the student’s aptitudes and interests. At MyLaunchpad we start with a general conversation about various career fields, followed by evaluation of the psychometric assessment report. Based on the report and the general understanding of the student, we assist the student to find the right stream and career.

Why do I need Career Counselling?

In an ideal world every student should be armed with all the information they need and should be able to make the right decisions. But the problem in today’s world is that there are innumerable career options and you need a specilist to even guide you on the sheer number of possibilities. In addition we may not have all the self awareness we need to understand where we should focus our attentions for the rest of our life. Through the use of psyhometric tests we are able to get a more objective evaulation of your interests, talents and aptitudes. What kind of counselling do I need?

You need counseling at the following stages

Students in class 10th or concluding 10th can use counselling to decide which stream to choose
Students who have completed class 12th but have not decided which career stream to follow can use counselling to decide on this
Students who have decided on their career stream after 1 th class but are not sure of the academic stream for the career
If you are not sure or confident of your career path
If you want to explore alternative career paths
Then you must consult a career counsellor to help you get the right direction in the right career field.
